Today we finally were able to get on the bikes. It was Phyllis’s first real ride with her e-bike. As Phyllis has mentioned, Tuscon has a cycling trail called “The Loop”. The beauty of the trail is that there are many places to get on and off the trail, many with parking.
Starting on the south west side of Tuscon we rode north for about an hour.
When you first get back on the bike it is always a question of which of your body parts is going to give out first.
- Sometimes it is the wrists if you are putting too much weight on your hands.
- It might be your lower back, if your core strength is a bit low.
- However, most often it is your butt. It takes a more than a few rides to get used to the saddle again.
Although the day was a bit cool, it was great to be out on the bikes again.
It looks very well maintained and not overly hilly. Perfect.
The Loop is one of the reasons we chose to come to Tucson. It is a lot of fun, easy cycling!
